Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

When should my videographer start?

It’s really up to the client, as to when we will begin shooting for the day. There are several important moments prior to the ceremony that most couples want to be included in their video. This includes prepping hair & makeup with the bridesmaid’s Mom zipping the bride into the wedding gown, dad’s face when he sees you for the first time and recorded messages between the bride & groom. Ideally, schedule about an hour to capture this footage.
At a minimum, your videographer should start shooting at your ceremony site about 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Many officiants actually require the videographer and his equipment to be completely set up prior to guests being seated.

What equipment will you bring to my wedding and reception?

We bring quite-a-bit of gear to each wedding but we pack it so well you would never know it. Our cameras consist of Canon 70D, Canon 80D Cameras, multiple zoom recorders, multiple Canon lenses, 2 DJI Mavic Pro Drones, Professional Rode Audio Equipment and an assortment of stabilizers (tripods, monopods, glidecam, sliders).

When do I get my finished wedding video?

After a typical wedding day where we are on location(s) 8 – 10 hours we’ll end up with 100-200 Gigabytes of footage. That equates to around 2-3 hours of continuous footage per camera, 300-500 video clips and 2-6 audio sources. So going through and organizing all of the footage, synching footage and audio, putting your wedding footage together to re-create your wedding day, sourcing music, color correction and grading all can take up to 40-60+ hours over the course of 12 weeks.

Will you shoot at multiple locations?

Of course! MM Productions videography packages include unlimited locations. Go Nuts. We’ll be there to capture it all.

Should we invite out videographer for dinner?

Thanks for asking. It is customary to invite your videographer to dinner. After a busy day of shooting, we will truly appreciate having dinner. If you have a “vendor table”, it is common to seat your DJ, Photographer and Videographer at the same table. It’s a good idea for your service providers to be close and available in the event that they are needed to shoot a spontaneous event.

Can we choose our own music?

We recommend that couples give us around 10 songs that they really love, that gives us plenty of music to play around with and use at our discretion, this way we are using music that you like, but does not hinder our artistic license. We will provide a song list sheet before the wedding to the bride and groom to fill out with their song choices.

How long in advance should we book you?

As soon as you have a confirmed secure date you can book us, we only take on a limited number of commissions every season to ensure great customer service, during the summer months we get numerous inquiries for the most popular dates. Most of our weddings are booked at least a year in advance.
